一期一会 (Ichigo Ichie) means “one time, one meeting.”
In the Japanese tea ceremony, it is a reminder that this moment will never happen in quite the same way again.
Saffron & Sake is a slow, warm sensory ceremony of saffron, sake, rice, sesame and tea, where every detail is prepared with intention and every sensation is given time to unfold.

The Ceremony
01 · 清Purity
The ceremony opens the way a teahouse does, with warmth and water. Steaming towels are pressed gently into place, and warm saffron-infused sesame oil is poured slowly over the scalp and décolletage. Nothing is rushed. Your breath is the only clock in the room.
02 · 層Layers
Rice, sesame and botanicals are prepared by hand, then layered onto your skin one at a time with soft brushes, the way Japanese beauty rituals have done for centuries. Each layer has its own texture and scent, and each one is given time before the next arrives.
03 · 温Warmth
Heated basalt stones and warm porcelain vessels move across the back and shoulders. Heavy stone, then smooth porcelain, each with its own weight, warmth and quiet.
04 · 根Roots
The ceremony moves down to the legs and lower body. Slow, deliberate touch and steady warmth ground you, with pauses of stillness in between.
05 · 金 · THE GOLD LEAF SEAL
The Signature Golden Finish
In 金継ぎ, the Japanese art of golden repair, broken pottery is mended with gold, so the cracks become the most beautiful part. Saffron & Sake closes with that gesture: cosmetic-grade gold leaf laid along the length of the spine. It is the signature seal of the ceremony — a slow, luminous golden finish that makes this ritual unmistakably its own.
06 · 静Stillness
A chilled genmaicha compress rests on the face and neck, one last cool moment after so much warmth. Then warm genmaicha, green tea with roasted brown rice, is poured and offered to you ceremonially. You rest, sip and stay as long as the stillness lasts.
Water, cleanliness, peace
It begins with water, cleanliness and peace.
It ends with tea, coolness and stillness.
