The Sweet Pause

Assisted Stretching · Fully clothed · Table based

30 minutes · $65

The Sweet Pause is a focused assisted-stretching session for people who feel very stiff, tight, or restricted and need more help stretching than they can comfortably achieve on their own. I support, position, and guide your body while adjusting the work around your mobility, comfort, and feedback.

01

What is The Sweet Pause?

This is not a massage session. You remain fully clothed from beginning to end. There is no undressing and no traditional massage draping.

During The Sweet Pause, I do the assisting. Rather than asking you to perform a series of stretches alone, I position, support, stabilize, and guide your body through assisted stretches while you tell me what you are feeling. The extra assistance lets us work with positions that may be difficult to reach, hold, or control comfortably on your own. I adjust positioning and intensity to your mobility and feedback that day.

02

Who is The Sweet Pause for?

The Sweet Pause may be a good starting point if you feel very stiff or tight, have difficulty stretching effectively alone, want extra hands-on assistance, or prefer to remain completely clothed.

It may also suit runners, people who exercise, lift weights, play sports, or train regularly; people who spend long periods sitting, standing, driving, or working in repetitive positions; and anyone who wants focused attention around restricted areas or a shorter introduction to assisted stretching.

03

What makes it different from massage?

The Sweet Pause is movement-centered. I use my hands to support, stabilize, position, and assist stretches rather than provide a traditional massage session. You stay dressed and tell me where you feel the stretch and when the angle or intensity should change.

Your $65 session includes 30 minutes of individualized assisted stretching. I physically help you get into, maintain, and adjust stretches according to how your body moves and feels that day.

04

What should I wear?

Come dressed for movement: leggings, yoga pants, bike shorts, fitted athletic pants, stretchy workout clothing, T-shirts, or tank tops. Spandex and other flexible athletic fabrics work well. Your clothing should allow your hips, legs, shoulders, and torso to move comfortably. You will not be asked to undress for The Sweet Pause.

05

What happens during the session?

We begin with a brief conversation about where you feel especially stiff, tight, or restricted and what you would like me to pay attention to. Then you get comfortable on the treatment table.

I guide your body through assisted stretches while supporting and positioning you. I can change the angle, intensity, and amount of assistance as you give feedback. You do not need to be flexible or know the stretches before you arrive. That is the purpose of assisted stretching: I help guide the movement while you tell me what you feel.

06

Your comfort sets the limit

Assisted stretching is not a competition to see how far the body can go. I want your feedback throughout. If a position feels too intense, uncomfortable, or simply not right, tell me. I can reduce the stretch, reposition you, change the angle, or stop. You are never required to push through a stretch.
